Wasps Netball First Home Game

05th Mar 2017 Wasps Netball First Home Game

I was pleased to be asked to attend Wasps first ever home game at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. A chance to be part of a new era as Super League Netball returns to the region after 10 years. It was also a change to experience match-day atmosphere that has been created in the hall expecially for matchdays.

A crowd of over 2000 saw the game against Mavs that ended 51-47 to Wasps and I spoke to a delighted Tamsin Greenway and Amy Flanagan afterwards. If you have never experienced Netball Super League games this decade head to waspsnetball.co.uk if your close to Coventry, get tickets and get along.

I was fortunate to be able to experience hospitality which added an extra highlight to the day as we saw the outstanding facilities available at the venue. Wasps certainly have every intention of making the final four this season and have the ability and dedication of all players and coaching staff to do it.

Ahead of the game the crowd of 2057 and players stood to show their respect for Tania Dalton who represented her country for 11 years as a Silver Fern.
